Bells, flutes, harp samples, programmed drums and synthesizers: Berlin-based Swedish tenor saxophonist Otis Sandsjö describes his music as “liquid jazz”, which positions the music in an expanded frame of reference in line with the currently popular term post-genre. Heavy swathes of sound waft over a seventies groove and it seems as if you are passing through a colorful curtain of glass beads into a room with a disco ball that reflects dim light in psychedelic reflections. A pop-kaleidoscopic collage of danceable post-soul with minimal synth and other references – flowing and very relaxed.
