Kush K & AKW DJ-Team
For several years now, Kush K have been following their very own path in the Swiss pop landscape; a pleasantly experimental one. They rely on dramaturgical arcs away from narrative expectations, which are connected by free playing, dissolving moments to arrive at the end. This project has managed to find a place between radio presence and underground credibility that does not require any bending or compromises. Their debut album “Lotophagi” was named Album of the Year 2021 by the industry association IndieSuisse. With the follow-up album “Your Humming”, they played concerts all over Europe and were invited to a KEXP Live Session. This fall, they will be playing from their upcoming album “Drum Therapy” for the first time. It’s a guide on how to come back to life, loss and what it’s like when the happiness hormones come back, a feeling of absolute fearlessness and being alive, the speed and brevity of life in full awareness.

The young collective Aktion Kultur Willisau from Willisau, which has been on the Hinterland culture scene since 2017, will be mixing the tracks at the Late Spot this time. Around the DJ booth: the beat is the ball – whoever misses it and falls out wins. It will be lively and uncomfortable and playful and grueling, and at least mostly very danceable.
