Albedo
“Albedo” consists of DJ sets played by artists, visitors or other people associated with the festival, as well as externally invited people. The DJ sets can be attended in a cozy and intimate setting in the festival tent of the Jazz Festival Willisau. At the same time, they will be broadcast live by Bernese internet radio station Radio Bollwerk, Lucerne’s Radio 3FACH, Lausanne’s Radio-40 and Basel’s Radiopolis, with the former two co-curating individual slots.

Naomi Mabanda & Tenko
Naomi Mabanda and Benjamin Taillard, alias Tenko. Or actually: Chien Mon Ami, their band. A duo called after a declaration of love – the dog. Pressed to record, “Chien Mon Ami”, a sworn confession, ghostly, released in 1970 by French radio Robinson and cosmopolitan Georges de Caunes. Wherever Naomi and Tenko got this artifact from, it set the musical raison d’être. They come to the Willisau Jazz Festival for a radio DJ set, their pockets full of their sheer music collection, and every record another confession of love. Chien Mon Ami online

_pron0ia_
_pron0ia_ is an interdisciplinary artist and musician from Bern. Her work deals with questions of digital capitalism, spirituality, queerness and visions for the future.
“Albedo” [the measure of the reflection of sunlight] aims to take an in-depth look at the personal perspectives of the music practiced and experienced. In addition to the music played on the various stages of the festival, a network of sounds will be created that will further enrich and open up the impressions and associations of the festival experience. And hopefully, with this musical interweaving, “Albedo” will also be a space of social connection, characterized by extensive, collective listening and shared presence.
Free radical cozyness.
